Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. hlix uses only the cookies it needs to work. We use no analytics or advertising cookies, so we do not ask for cookie consent.
Our website
Our website sets no cookies of its own.
The hlix dashboard
These cookies are strictly necessary. Without them you cannot sign in.
- better-auth.session_token: keeps you signed in. It cannot be read by scripts, is only sent over HTTPS, and lasts up to 7 days, renewed while you use hlix.
- better-auth.dont_remember: set when you sign in without "Remember me", so your session ends when you close the browser.
- better-auth.state: set for a few minutes while you sign in with Google or GitHub, to protect that sign-in from forgery.
- A passkey challenge cookie: set for a few minutes while you sign in or register with a passkey.
This cookie is functional:
- sidebar_state: remembers whether the sidebar is open. It lasts 7 days.
Browser storage
The dashboard also keeps a few preferences in your browser's local storage, such as your selected workspace, your theme, and panel sizes. They never leave your device. The desktop app stores its sign-in token on your device instead of in a cookie.
Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookies, you cannot use the dashboard.
